A while back I decided that I needed a light next to the bed so I could find things in the middle of the night. Problem was, my other lamps were too bright and would blind me If I turned them on in the middle of the night. I didn't feel like buying one (cause I'm cheap and poor- probably due to buying photogear). I remembered that we had this red lava lamp that we got from somewhere (I think it belonged to one of my sisters a while back). It is actually perfect for a night light, because the eyes arent as sensative to red light so that I can turn it on and not have to wait for my eyes to adjust to what can seem like starring at the surface of the sun.
The reason I chose this as my picture of the day is because I am being lazy. I was planning on doing some test shots with the beauty dish that I made from a flower bowl, a convex truck mirror and an empty 50 CD spindle. BUT.. It was pouring outside and all of my flash gear is in the car. Plus I was about to fall asleep. But I promised yesterday that I wouldn't post any more pics of the show from saturday and the goal of this project is to get me taking more pictures everyday, so there you have it..subpar work but hey, I 'Got out and shot something'. At least I have the sound of the rain on this roof to help me get to sleep! C'est La vie
