After work today, I stopped out by our sign by the road to shoot some pictures. We have recently had some landscaping done (see 'Red Hibiscus') and a bunch of nice plants and flowers were planted around the sign. It was getting pretty dark so I went for my 85mm f/1.8. II started snapping pictures of the plants, but then I noticed the bees. They were busy darting from flower to flower, on their final nectar run of the day. The sun was setting fast and it was starting to get really hard to get a shot of the bees without them being blurred, but I finally caught this guy still on a stem! I need to get a telephoto lens (70-200 2.8L) so I can really get in there close to these little buggers.
