Porch Turkey
Nov 28th, 2008 | "Porch Turkey"
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and in honor of the day, I decided to dig way back in the archives an post the Porch Turkey!

OK... this one may need a little explaining. A few years ago we pulled up in the driveway and saw this. A huge turkey on our porch. I don't know what he was doing there or where he came from. I know he was an domesticated turkey, cause wild turkeys are never this fat, are way more skittish and they are nearly always black/brown. (Although there are some wild white turkeys, like This One that I saw in Cades Cove, but they are extremely rare). It was a really odd thing to come home to. I ran around back and got some bread to lure it off the porch, it didn't work though and I ended up just getting between him and the door. He finally wandered off, but not without leaving us little gifts all over our mat as well as the porch.
